Specs Comparison: 15 vs 18 Inch
Cleaning Width
The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber offers a 15-inch cleaning path, while the KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber provides an 18-inch path. A wider scrubbing width means you cover more floor area with each pass. This reduces the total time needed to clean large spaces. The 18-inch model allows for fewer passes to complete the same job. The 15-inch model remains effective but requires slightly more maneuvering time. Both machines fit the walk-behind form factor for commercial use.
Tank Capacity
Tank capacity differs significantly between the two units. The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber holds 6 gallons of solution and 5 gallons of recovery water. The KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber holds 10 gallons of clean water and 11 gallons of waste water. Larger tanks allow for longer continuous cleaning sessions without stopping to refill or empty. The 18-inch model supports extended work periods, making it better for larger facilities. The 15-inch model is suited for smaller areas or tasks with frequent water changes.
Physical Dimensions
The physical footprint of each machine affects storage and transport. The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber measures 17 inches in width, 30 inches in length, and 41 inches in height. The KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber measures 24 inches in width, 35 inches in length, and 38 inches in height. The 15-inch model is narrower and taller, which may help in tight vertical spaces. The 18-inch model is wider but shorter, potentially fitting under lower counters or in wider storage bays more easily.
Weight
Weight impacts portability and stability during operation. The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber weighs 147 pounds. The KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber weighs 240 pounds. The lighter 15-inch model is easier to move between rooms or load into vehicles for multi-site cleaning. The heavier 18-inch model offers more mass, which can provide better traction and stability on smooth surfaces like epoxy or tile. Heavier units may be harder to transport manually.
Squeegee Width
Squeegee width determines how much wet floor is dried in one pass. The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber has a 23-inch squeegee width. The KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber has a 24-inch squeegee width. A wider squeegee captures more water, leaving floors drier immediately after cleaning. The 18-inch model provides a slight advantage in drying efficiency due to its broader suction path. Both widths are sufficient for commercial environments, but the larger width reduces the chance of residual moisture marks.
Motor Power
Both machines share identical motor specifications. The KARHDIR 15-Inch Walk-Behind Scrubber and the KARHDIR 18-Inch Walk-Behind Floor Scrubber both feature a 500W motor. This power level is designed to lift grease, scuff marks, and stubborn dirt from hard floors. Identical power ensures that neither machine has a cleaning strength advantage over the other. Both are capable of reaching 200 RPM brush speed for effective scrubbing. The cleaning performance per square foot is comparable between the two models.
Which scrubber fits your space
Small office or retail managers
You need a compact machine for tight aisles. This 15-inch model measures 17 inches wide and weighs 147 pounds. It fits easily between shelves and corners. The wider 18-inch cleaning path covers more ground per pass. With up to 3 hours of runtime, you can clean extensive areas like warehouses or large retail spaces without stopping to refill or empty tanks.
Users prioritizing maneuverability
You value ease of movement in crowded environments. This unit is significantly lighter at 147 pounds compared to the heavier alternative. Its compact body allows for a tight turning radius. You can navigate narrow corridors and around obstacles with minimal effort. The tool-free setup lets you start cleaning immediately, making it ideal for staff who need simple, portable equipment.
