We selected these alternatives because their specs overlap with the Bissell’s core capabilities, such as weight, cleaning width, and surface compatibility. You can compare dimensions and form factors to find the best fit for your home. Each option addresses specific needs, from portable spot cleaning to fully automatic washing cycles. Review the detailed specs below to decide which machine suits your routine.
How Each Alternative Compares
Shark CarpetXpert Upright Carpet Cleaner
The Shark CarpetXpert Upright Carpet Cleaner is slightly lighter at 17 pounds compared to the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet’s 17.5 pounds. Its width is 12 inches, which is narrower than the Bissell’s 12.5 inches, potentially aiding maneuverability in tight spaces. Both machines target pet stains and feature upright designs. The Shark model includes upholstery as a compatible surface, similar to the Bissell. You might choose the Shark if you prefer a marginally lighter unit with a narrower profile for easier storage and handling around furniture.
Shark CarpetXpert Upright Stain Cleaner
The Shark CarpetXpert Upright Stain Cleaner shares the same 17-pound weight and 12-inch width as the budget Shark model, making it lighter and narrower than the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet. It maintains the same 43.5-inch height and 13.2-inch length. This model focuses specifically on stain removal rather than general pet odor elimination. It features integrated spot removal and separate water tanks for cleaner results. If you prioritize dedicated stain treatment and versatile cleaning across carpets, stairs, and upholstery, this upright option offers a practical alternative with a compact footprint.
Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Upright Carpet Cleaner
This Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Upright Carpet Cleaner is identical in weight (17.5 pounds) and dimensions to the original model, including the 12.5-inch width and 15-inch length. The primary difference is the color, which is orange instead of the original variant. It retains the Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes and fast drying capabilities. You should pick this version if you prefer the orange aesthetic while needing the same strong brushing power and versatile tooling for pet owners who value manual control over automation.
Hoover SmartWash+ Automatic Upright Carpet Cleaner
The Hoover SmartWash+ Automatic Upright Carpet Cleaner distinguishes itself with automatic cleaning features, unlike the manual operation of the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet. It targets pet stains and odors on carpets. While specific dimensions and weight are not listed in the data, its automatic function suits users who want hands-free operation. It is designed for faster drying on carpets. If you prioritize automatic cleaning cycles and pet stain removal over the specific manual control and known lightweight profile of the Bissell, this automatic upright is a suitable alternative.
Shark StainStriker Portable Spot Cleaner
The Shark StainStriker Portable Spot Cleaner is a portable unit, unlike the upright design of the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet. It targets pets, odor, and stains on upholstery. It is designed for targeted stain removal on stairs and upholstery, offering instant activation for pet accidents. It lacks the large-area cleaning capacity of the upright Bissell model. You should choose this portable spot cleaner if you prioritize portability and immediate treatment of specific messes on upholstery and stairs over deep cleaning large carpet areas.
Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Upright Carpet Cleaner
The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Upright Carpet Cleaner is heavier at 20.7 pounds compared to the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet’s 17.5 pounds. It is also wider at 14.2 inches versus 12.5 inches, and slightly taller at 44.1 inches versus 43.5 inches. It focuses on pet hair removal and clog-free cleaning for carpets and area rugs. This model effectively removes embedded hair and odors without the bulk of larger models. Pick this alternative if you need a lightweight upright solution specifically optimized for heavy pet hair removal, despite its increased weight and width.
