SANITMAX 18.5-Inch Walk-Behind Carpet Extractor Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How these alternatives compare

SUNMAX 22-Inch Battery Commercial Floor Scrubber

The SUNMAX 22-Inch Battery Commercial Floor Scrubber targets hard-floor cleaning rather than carpet extraction. It weighs 330 pounds, making it significantly heavier than the 110-pound SANITMAX unit. While it offers a wider 23-inch cleaning path, it lacks the brush agitation and high-pressure spray needed for deep carpet cleaning. This machine suits facilities with extensive hard-surface areas. You should choose this alternative if your primary need is hard-floor scrubbing rather than carpet extraction. The battery operation provides runtime benefits, but the weight and form factor limit its use to large, open commercial spaces. It does not replace the SANITMAX for carpet-specific tasks.

Dapper Supply 18.5-Inch Steam Carpet Extractor

The Dapper Supply 18.5-Inch Steam Carpet Extractor uses steam power instead of traditional hot water extraction. It features a 18.7-inch width, slightly wider than the SANITMAX 18.5-inch path. This model is optimized for commercial steam cleaning and upholstery work. It offers high pressure and detailed tool access, which benefits users needing versatile cleaning options. However, it lacks the specific brush agitation specs of the SANITMAX. You should pick this alternative if steam sanitization is a priority. The grey finish and commercial form factor align with professional needs. It provides a different cleaning mechanism but maintains a similar footprint for maneuvering in tight commercial environments.

Dapper Supply 18-Inch Commercial Carpet Extractor

The Dapper Supply 18-Inch Commercial Carpet Extractor emphasizes quiet operation for office environments. It weighs 190 pounds, nearly double the weight of the SANITMAX. This model features a 16-inch cleaning width, which is narrower than the SANITMAX 13.8-inch brush but covers a similar recovery path. It is designed for large areas where noise reduction is critical. You should choose this alternative if you need to clean occupied office spaces without disturbing occupants. The long cord and tank size support continuous work. It trades some portability for quieter performance and high-capacity cleaning in professional settings.

Bissell Commercial BigGreen Two-Motor Carpet Extractor

The Bissell Commercial BigGreen Two-Motor Carpet Extractor is a compact unit measuring 30 inches in length. It weighs only 42 pounds, making it much lighter and more portable than the 110-pound SANITMAX. This model focuses on durability and solution management for commercial facilities. It lacks the wide recovery path and high-pressure spray of the SANITMAX. You should pick this alternative if portability and ease of movement are your top priorities. It suits smaller commercial spaces where maneuverability is more important than coverage width. The green color and standard size indicate a focus on practical, heavy-duty performance in a smaller footprint.

Rug Doctor Mighty Pro X3 Pet Carpet Cleaner

The Rug Doctor Mighty Pro X3 Pet Carpet Cleaner is designed for removing embedded pet messes and odors. It weighs 47 pounds, significantly lighter than the SANITMAX. This unit delivers strong suction and specialized pet cleaning tools. It is suitable for commercial or heavy residential use where pet stains are common. You should choose this alternative if your primary challenge is pet-related cleaning rather than general carpet maintenance. It offers deep fiber scrubbing capabilities. The commercial pet bundle includes specific attachments. It trades the wide walk-behind path for targeted, high-efficiency cleaning in smaller or heavily soiled areas.

Rug Doctor Pro Deep Carpet Cleaner

The Rug Doctor Pro Deep Carpet Cleaner is built for pet stain removal in small commercial spaces. It weighs 32.5 pounds, making it highly portable compared to the SANITMAX. This model offers commercial durability with a focus on managing tank refills in smaller areas. You should pick this alternative if you need to clean small commercial spaces frequently. It provides strong suction for deep cleaning. The red color and large size indicate a robust build. It sacrifices the wide recovery path of the SANITMAX for easier handling and targeted stain removal. This unit is ideal for businesses dealing with frequent pet accidents.
